5 out of 5 stars Book is as Presented   September 2, 2009

I don't doubt that the other reviewer may have received the "older" version of this music book. I just received it and it is the revised edition with the "colorful" cover. My experience with Amazon since its inception has been mostly good - if what I had received was not what was presented on the site, I'm sure Amazon would correct the problem.

This is still the gold standard for learning to play violin. What more can be said? Listen, Listen, Listen to help you play. CD enclosed.

5 out of 5 stars Better than the previous edition   February 20, 2010
S. Wheeler (San Antonio, TX)
This edition is larger, more easily read than the previous. As with all Suzuki materials, I have no complaints. Love the program.

I found this book to be very helpful when I bought a violin and needed to learn how to read music.

4 out of 5 stars Book is good, but no CD   June 24, 2010

I would have given 5, but there was no CD in this book. I have to buy CD again. The description should have mentioned this.
